This is a Testimonial from one of our original athletes at CrossFit 38 Degrees North Troy McMoore. As you will see from the before and after pictures, Troy went through some amazing physical changes. Lucy Randle – Summer 2013
38 North was very lucky to have Lucy Randle, A CrossFit Coach from Australia, become part of our community for 2 months this summer. Lucy sent over this message after she left to go back home. We will miss you Lucy.“As a CrossFit athlete and keen adventurer, I always know that no matter where I am in this well traveled world I can find a place I can call home. Owned and operated by a man of many talents, Mike Ward, and passionately supported by a small, yet professional and enthusiastic team, Mike offered a life changing few months of coaching, exceptional training facilities and last but not least a family of incredible individuals who not only displayed text book technique but the kindest of hearts and the biggest of smiles!!Having spent alot of time in different boxes, training facilities and an array of coaching styles, I am proud to say that CF38N exceeded all expectations, and provides their clients with world class facilities and coaching, not to mention a good dusting of humor and attractive faces!

Mike Bebe – 38 North Athlete
Athlete Mike Beebe talks about his experience with CrossFit and the community of 38 North.
“As long as I can remember I have been over weight and I’ve battled it my entire life. In my early 20′s I was able to lose a huge amount of weight doing the Atkins diet coupled with chronic cardio. But with all the fat I lost I also lost a lot of muscle. I was a skinny fat guy….you all know what I mean. Flash forward to 2011, I was happily married and had a great career but my weight had spiked to an astounding 348 pounds. I was completely inactive, uncomfortable in my own skin and my self-esteem was at an all time low. I decided in early 2011 that I was going to join the gym again and get back into my “fighting weight”. Well almost a year later I had only lost 10-15 pounds and no matter how hard I tried I couldn’t lose the weight. It was then I decided I wanted to try CrossFit. So I researched it and researched it some more. And then I researched it some more! I think most people will agree that the thought of CrossFit is very intimidating. It took me over 8 months to finally commit to coming in.
If it were not for 38 North Coach Billy Petrie I would have never had the guts to try it out. Well back in September 2012 my personal trainer at Club One (yes I was paying a ridiculous amount of money for a trainer) who was also friends with Billy had mentioned that Billy had “drank the CrossFit cool aid” and was coaching at CF38N. Boom! I called Billy in early October 2012, came into CF38N and checked my ego at the door….And I’ve been hooked ever since!
CF38N has taught me to train hard, set goals, push through mental and physical barriers, eat healthier and enjoy an active lifestyle! I am down over 50 pounds and I am in the best physical shape of my life. I absolutely love the coaches and the CF38N community. I have a TON of goals I still want to meet and I know that being a part of the CF38N family will help me achieve them!”
